Steve here with another update

Rachel was discharged from the hospital yesterday afternoon. She is a little wobbly, a little slow to move and sore, but is recovering smoothly. A lot of opinions and a strong drive to provide directions on what to do.

We will need to wait on a post surgery MRI but the surgeon's are confident that they resected the majority of the tumor in a mere fourteen hours. Wooo!

Unfortunately the double vision persists.

The good news is she's started on her Halloween costume early this year. Arrrr! (editors note - that was approved).

Coming out of surgery she had one issue, a sixth nerve palsy of her right eye. The sixth nerve controls the outward horizontal movement of the eye. We will need to wait for swelling to go down but we are hoping this will resolve within a few weeks. If not we will follow up with an ophthalmologist.

Day to day we are working on walking, eating and pain management.

Overall this is a great outcome and we continue to move forward day by day.
